A 2025 graduate of Kean University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Conroy brings a wealth of high-level playing experience, exceptional leadership, and a passion for helping young athletes reach their full potential.
Shannon concluded an outstanding collegiate career at Kean University, where she served as Team Captain during her senior season. She was recognized as one of the top players in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, earning First Team All-NJAC honors in both 2024 and 2025, while also being named to the NFHCA All-Region Second Team in consecutive seasons. In 2025, she was selected to the prestigious NFHCA Division III Senior Team, recognizing the nation’s top graduating seniors.
Her commitment to excellence extended beyond the field. Shannon earned Academic All-District honors, was a member of the NFHCA National Academic Squad, the NJAC All-Academic Team, and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. Prior to Kean, she competed at the NCAA Division I level at Wagner College before transferring and becoming a two-year starter at Kean, starting every game during both her junior and senior seasons.
Before college, Conroy was a standout athlete at Southern Regional High School, where she served as a team captain, earned Two-Time All-Shore recognition, was named Third Team All-State, and helped lead Southern to an undefeated 2020 NJSIAA Central-East Group D Championship.
She also enjoyed an accomplished seven-year club career with Jersey Intensity, competing at premier national events including JPOL, JPIL, Regional Club Championships, festivals, and college showcases, giving her extensive experience competing against some of the nation’s top talent.
As a coach, Conroy is passionate about developing complete athletes. She believes in fostering confidence, accountability, a strong work ethic, and leadership while helping players build the technical skills and field hockey IQ necessary to succeed at the next level. Her dedication to excellence—both on the field and in the classroom—aligns perfectly with Phoenix Elite’s commitment to developing outstanding athletes and even better people.
