U16 Coach

Kerri Turk

Phoenix Elite is thrilled to welcome Kerri Turk to our coaching staff! With a lifelong passion for field hockey and a résumé that spans high-level playing, coaching, and leadership roles, Kerri brings an incredible wealth of experience and energy to our program.

A Howell, New Jersey native and graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, Kerri sharpened her skills on the club circuit with Jersey Intensity and Surf and Sand, and was selected to the prestigious USA Field Hockey Futures Program, a testament to her early promise and dedication.

She went on to compete at the NCAA Division I level at Saint Joseph’s University, where she was a four-year member of the Hawks field hockey program. A standout leader, Kerri served as team captain her senior year, earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors, and was recognized by her teammates with the Players’ Player award in 2016. She graduated in 2017 with a degree in International Relations and Economics.

After college, Kerri continued to elevate her game by competing in the North East Field Hockey League (NEFHA), where she now serves as President. She currently plays with the New York Islanders, a top-tier adult club team that competes at both national and international tournaments.

Kerri’s coaching journey began while still at Saint Joseph’s, volunteering at youth clinics for the Hawks program. From 2016 to 2022, she coached with NJ Starz Field Hockey Club, leading Sunday Skillz sessions and coaching elite tournament teams at events such as JPOL and RCCs. Her coaching philosophy is rooted in player development both on and off the field — helping young athletes grow into confident, resilient, and team-driven individuals.

We are proud to welcome Kerri and are excited for the impact she’ll have on the next generation of Phoenix athletes!
