Assistant Coach, All Levels

Dario Clement

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Dario discovered his passion for field hockey at the age of 14 and launched his playing career with Paradise FHC in Tobago. His dedication and talent quickly earned him a spot on the Trinidad & Tobago Under-21 National Team.

Dario’s international career took him to Scotland, where he competed with the Granite City Wanderers for two years before bringing his skills to the United States. Here, he joined the North East Field Hockey Association (NEFHA)—first with the Tri-State Falcons and now as team captain of the New York Islanders Field Hockey Club, leading them to back-to-back National Club Championship titles in 2022 and 2023.

Beyond the pitch, Dario is deeply committed to sharing his love for the game. His coaching journey began by mentoring young athletes and helping players at all levels refine their skills and confidence. From 2021 to 2022, he served on the coaching staff at NJ Starz, where he focused on integrating a wide range of skill sets and fostering a positive, competitive learning environment.

Dario brings to Phoenix Elite a unique blend of international experience, leadership, and an infectious passion for player development—qualities that perfectly align with our mission to grow the game and empower the next generation of athletes.
